“A leader’s greatness is measured by the dignity they bring to the most vulnerable.” These profound words perfectly encapsulate the essence of Governor Barr Caleb Mutfwang’s recent decision to uplift the lives of street cleaners in Jos, Plateau State. In an inspiring demonstration of compassionate governance, Governor Mutfwang has taken a groundbreaking step that highlights his dedication to the welfare of the common people.

The Governor’s decision to upwardly review the salaries of street cleaners in Jos from 8,000 Naira to 30,000 Naira is not merely a financial adjustment but a powerful testament to his commitment to social justice, dignity, and inclusive development. This move has been widely lauded as a progressive and humane approach to administration, bringing sighs of relief to the affected workers, mostly widows, and restoring hope amongst them.

Governor Mutfwang’s decision seeks to correct this imbalance which has been static for over a decade and give these essential workers the respect and financial stability they deserve.
