ECWA CONSTITUTES NEW BOARD FOR GOWANS MFB

Lays Foundation for Church Project at Mariri

Gowans Microfinance Bank now has a new Board of Directors. The new board is headed by Dr. Yohanna Arin as Chairman and Barrister Jinaka Salisu as Secretary.

Other members include Mr. Christopher Dow, Mr. Markus Zakariya, Mr. Ibrahim Yunana Dikko, Mr. Friday Iveh Mamman, Mr. Yohanna Rabo, and Dr. Kingsley Dickson.

Inaugurating the new board, the ECWA executive, led by the ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Ayuba Job Bagat, tasked the board members to discharge their duties with diligence and integrity.

The ECWA President reminded them that their service is a ministry before God and urged them to be fearless in directing the bank’s operations to God’s glory.

While appreciating them for accepting the appointment, the cleric prayed for God’s wisdom to guide the board as they work to advance the institution’s mission and impact.

Similarly, ECWA has laid the foundation for the building of a Church auditorium in Sabon Layi, Mariri in Kauru LGA of Kaduna State.

Performing the foundation laying, ECWA President Rev. Dr. Ayuba Job Bagat emphasized the importance of unity in the church and among Christian denominations.

ECWA General Secretary Rev. Ayuba Asheshe, who is also the project initiator, urged believers to be ambassadors of peace by fostering harmonious relationships within the broader community.

Rev. Asheshe disclosed that, as one who grew up in the community, it was a thing of joy to give back his best to where he came from, the reason behind the donation of the land for the project.

The event attended by serving and retired church leaders featured special prayers and goodwill remarks.

Members of the community who could not hide their joy expressed hope that when completed, the project would serve as a centre for worship and fellowship for the community.
