ECWA CREATES 3 NEW DCCS, MOVES TO RESTRUCTURE FOR GLOBAL MISSION ENGAGEMENT

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) now has 100 District Church Councils. This followed the creation of 3 additional DCCs.
The newly created DCCs include Chonge-Pero DCC, carved out of the Shongom DCC, Tafawa Balewa DCC, created out of Dass DCC, and Kontagora DCC from Minna DCC.
A communique from the 73rd GCC meeting in Jos, Plateau State, stated that the three new DCCs are on a probationary period of two years. Their creation seeks to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen missional effectiveness.
It added that the creation of the new DCCs was due to the growth of the denomination in diverse areas, including its widespread membership in different locations.
Similarly, the Church plans to deliberately restructure the denomination. The intent is to reflect an international character not just in name, but also in structure, operations, and mission engagement.
This restructuring, according to the communique, the restructuring was aimed at strengthening the church’s missional identity by aligning its governance, ministries, and institutional frameworks with global best practices, while remaining firmly rooted in its biblical convictions and core values.
“The Council emphasizes that this renewed international outlook will enhance cross-cultural ministry, deepen global partnerships, and position the Church for more effective participation in God’s mission across nations.”
Meanwhile, in its effort to provide a structured and unified framework for remuneration and ensure greater consistency, transparency, and fairness in the compensation of Church workers across the various units and levels, the Council also resolved to initiate a pilot phase of a centralized salary scheme with effect from January 2027.
The Council also commended the ECWA executive for the step of initiating development on the acquired land at Garam near Bwari in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, and called on all ECWA members to partner in the development by contributing to enable the completion of the project in record time.
