Church leaders, mission leaders, Christian professionals and emerging leaders are expected to converge on Abuja for the 2026 Lausanne Nigeria Congress, a strategic gathering aimed at advancing collaboration for mission in Nigeria and beyond.

The congress, with the theme “Let the Church Declare and Display Christ Together,” is scheduled for October 27th to 30th, 2026, at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.

Organizers say the congress is more than a conference, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, rethink approaches to mission, deepen understanding and explore how the Church can faithfully declare and display Christ in every sphere of society.

According to the Publicity and Mobilization Team, the gathering is premised on the conviction that leadership is a calling and profession is a mission field.

“The Church must go beyond its walls. The gospel must shape every sphere of life,” the organizers said.

They added that the congress is targeting those who lead congregations, manage organizations, serve in government, practice medicine, teach, build businesses or influence public policy, noting that their leadership and professional expertise have a place in God’s global mission.

“What if the next great advance of the gospel in Nigeria and among the nations comes through churches working together and professionals intentionally living out their faith?” the statement asked.

Organizers said registration closes on October 20th, 2026. The registration fee is N50,000 for Nigerian delegates and $200 for international delegates.

“The nations are not waiting for a more comfortable Church. They need a Church that is united, equipped, courageous and ready to serve,” the organizers said.

The Lausanne Movement, which inspires the Nigeria congress, is built on the vision of “The Whole Church, The Whole Gospel, The Whole World.”
